Welcome to Totnes Kayaks Limited

My name is Tom Morris and I have been paddling on and off since I was a kid. I have always enjoyed trying new boats of any shape and size, but noticed that locally, we only got a small selection of what's available from suppliers based here in the South West, the rest of the UK or overseas.

Therefore Totnes Kayaks offers you something different! We are a small, friendly place that likes helping you whatever your ability. We stock all sort of boats, sit on tops, clothing and accessories sourced from a wide range of suppliers from Devon to Hawaii.

We’re based right on the River Dart in Totnes, South Devon, close to exciting white water, gentle river paddles and the sea and surf... all of which you can try through our rental service or academy courses. You can 'try before you buy' or just paddle right from our shop... come and see us soon.

Take the plunge this summer!

If you have always wanted to give kayaking a try, or you are already a paddler and want to progress your skills, then we can help. Totnes Kayaks Academy offers highly professional and friendly courses for beginners, intermediates and experienced paddlers. Whatever your needs, we have a course to suit  you.

For example, we offer a one day introduction course called Discover Kayaking. You will find out about the kit and the boats, then go onto the water to learn basic paddle strokes. By the end of the day you'll be confident enough to take a boat out on your own. 

For more advanced paddlers, our offering includes certification on  BCU 1 to 5 star courses. For those looking to work in this exciting sport we provide coaching qualification courses from level 1 to 5.
